Sidney “Sid Vicious” Raymond Eudy, a professional wrestler known for his iconic stare and intensity, has died after a years-long cancer battle, his son Gunnar Eudy confirmed on social media. He was 63. 

“He was a man of strength, kindness, and love, and his presence will be greatly missed,” Gunnar wrote of his father in an Aug. 26 Facebook post. “We appreciate your thoughts and prayers as we grieve this loss. Details for a memorial service will be shared soon. Thank you for your support.”

Sid exploded into the pro-wrestling scene in 1989 after signing with World Champion Wrestling (WCW). He debuted with the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) two years later under the name “Sid Justice” and, standing at 6 feet 9 inches, he was known, according toa statement from the WWE, as one of the most “imposing and terrifying competitors of his generation.” 

During his time in the wrestling industry, Sid fought against other greats including more” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noopener noreferrer”>Mark “The Undertaker” Calaway and The Four Horsemen group, led by Ric Flair
