Thank you for bringing attention to the plight of Afghan women and girls. They were thrown to the wolves when we pulled out our troops. They were hunted down by the Taliban, forced to go into hiding, and in many cases made to become the invisible. They lost rights that they had just recently gained. They have lost their voices, and forced to become the silent. I will never understand why these so-called "men" are so intimidated by women? The Taliban literally hates women. Its very well known that members of the Taliban have more of a taste for young boys, as predators, than they do women. Yet, they claim some religious hierarchy. Islam is not bad. It is those who pervert its meaning that are. Just like the lunacy that exists in the Christian right in the United States, they twist their religions so much…. that they are almost unrecognizable.
