Munster and Connacht played out an inter-pro thriller at Thomond Park, where it finished Munster 35 and Connacht 33 in the first URC game of the season for both provinces.
Munster’s Shane Daly’s try, which was converted by Tony Butler 10 minutes from time, was enough to see them over the line.
John Hodnett and Gavin Coombes also notched second half tries for the reds.
Connacht’s new signing Ben Murphy crossed over the try line twice in the first half. Both teams scored five tries apiece.
At Ravenhill, it’s currently Ulster 10, the Glasgow Warriors 17.
