NBC’s “Today” co-anchor Hoda Kotb introduced she would move this system early then pace all the way through a tearful department on Thursday. 

NBC’s “Today” team collected at the on-set sofa as Kotb shared the scoop that she would exit clear of the Comcast-owned community’s flagship morning program to bring to spend extra while with her family. 

“So, I was doing the math and I realized that I have spent 26 years at NBC,” Kotb stated as she started to rip up and reminded herself to “be cool.”

NBC’s “Today” team collected at the on-set sofa as Hoda Kotb stated she would exit clear of this system. 

“I just turned 60, and it was such a monumental moment for me, when I turned 60 years old, because I started thinking about that decade… I realized that it was time for me to turn the page at 60 and to try something new,” she persisted. “This is the right time for me to, kind of, move on.”

Kotb upcoming defined that she sought after to spend extra while along with her small children, who she stated she had after in month. 

“They deserve a bigger piece of my time pie that I have,” Kotb stated. 

“With all that being said, this is the hardest thing in the world,” she added. “It’s kind of a big deal for me… I’ve been practicing so I wouldn’t cry, but anyway, I did.”

Kotb, who stated she would “stay in the NBC family,” in the past labored on NBC’s “Dateline” and hosted the fourth past of “Today” with Kathie Lee Gifford and upcoming Jenna Bush Hager ahead of completely touchdown the co-anchor gig along Savannah Guthrie later longtime host Matt Lauer was once fired over sexual misconduct violations.

Kotb famously sat by means of Guthrie all the way through the 2017 bombshell announcement that Lauer were terminated. Kotb helped “Today” get throughout the Lauer firing, filling his chair on an intervening time foundation ahead of being named his permanent replacement weeks after.
