And this is why I bought land in PEI…haha no bears! Only place in Canada with no bears. I have camped & fished in alberta,BC & Saskatchewan for 50 yrs,and have had many encounters with bears,luckily I’ve always been safe.
No way I would of been so calm that close,good job guy,I was yelling @ the screen when the bear started charging a little🤦🏼♀️
I would have been a hearty lunch….feast for the bear family.☺️

Good job. Perfect. Black bears are generally non-aggressive, even with a baby nearby, as we saw here. However, with babies nearby they can be protective.They generally CAN become dangerous after getting used to eating from people's trash cans and becoming too comfortable among humans, which is why we keep our trash secured.
This guy handled the situation perfectly.

When this happened to me I completely forgot what to do except stand and look stupid. Luckily for me some other hikers came along which scared the bear away.
