The American sitcom Friends turned 30 on Sunday.
The show eventually paid its main stars each $1 million per episode – it gave its audience comedy, therapy and one of the most protracted love stories in history.
It’s still considered one of the most popular shows of all time – and it’s also one of the highest grossing.
The show generated and estimated $1.4bn for its stars and creators since its debut in 1994, and close to $5bn for its production company Warner Bros.

@GruncleJohn
It’s was a fantastic series!
@michaelre7556
I re-watched the entire series a couple years ago, and found it to be degenerate. I didn't see that with open eyes at the time, I guess I was too young.
@CraigTalksAbout
RIP Matt Perry. He shouldn't be missing this it's so sad.
Friends was the background to my teens and twenties. I still am in touch with all the group of friends who I watched Friends with week in week out minus a couple who have passed and 1 or 2 who have drifted from the group, but the core friends are still the same.
@marvelprince
Great title

It’s 30 years already? Peak. It may sound off topic but I chanced on this cool translator that does everything and more of what a translator should have, name is Immersive Translate and one thing that can really help is it’s new feature, which lets you create a custom AI expert for translating anything. Thank me later, it's gold.
@CardinalNous
Can't believe the BBC is even showing this given how white they are
@TungaroPlau
What journalist talk about it without the overdose of one of the friends who didn't love his work enough? A journalist paid by warner bros? Bbc high journalism meaning you gotta be high to call it journalism
@avianfish8732
Utter rubbish. the soap age is over. Lets move quickly on shall we!
@ricosolomon
My gosh. Stop glorifying these white-washed television shows of the 90's. "Friends" a bunch of buddies who don't interact with any Black or Puerto Ricans while living and working in New York City…. Similar to Jerry Seinfeld and his Jews-only clique. No black people, no Latinos, Nobody Gay… it cannot be New York City. Only in Hollywood
@123UpNorth321
There were also a lot of fat jokes. Well, haha
@ecaltroyer
I regret clicking on this one
@qasaqtar
I love move friends 😊 hello from Kazakhstan❤
@anubis8586
Although this is not newsworthy, I applaud the quirky headline being a direct reference to the show itself lol
@juliusnovachrono4370
I am genuinely curious – For those of you who watched Friends since it came out until its end, what was it like?
@telecake
Because it's a realistic portrayal of how most white people would only hang around with other white people even in a city as diverse as NYC. White people love that and can relate so much to that.
@mcflyfarm
I'm pretty sure England loves Friends more than the US.
@williamshaw5388
Awful show for vapid narcissistic muppets.
