The last time I visited—about 20-25 years ago—we discussed Eric Dolphy and Norman Granz's Jazz at the Philharmonic. I was so captivated by the place that I never wanted to leave. It truly is a national treasure, and I believe the City of Los Angeles should designate it as a historic landmark. Why not write Mr. Chase a $5 million check to support his move to Morocco with his wife? Just be sure to keep Henry around so he can mentor young audiophiles in archiving and preserving this gem for future generations. I'm fairly certain that UCLA and USC are in negotiations for it, but they would likely want him to donate as a gift that he could write off as a tax deduction.

worth 25-50 cents in bulk at most.
