Naim’s aunt Muriel informed news outlet Walla: “Her parents were very afraid of her service.
“She came for advice, and there was a big family conversation when she was sent to Gaza.
“In the end, we told her to follow her heart, and she said something I’ll never forget.
“She said that she wouldn’t be able to look into the eyes of the mothers of her comrades if they were going to Gaza and she wasn’t there to take care of them.”
