What is probably the elephant in the room that Democrats don't want to acknowledge is that Trump is probably going to get a spike as a result of this. What is more frightening is that even before this second attempt, the aggregated surveys by state still projected Trump to win, so this event will only increase that. The plain fact is that no matter how much mass media tries to prop Harris up after the debate, the debate really had no effect on Trump's lead. I honestly believe the only way Harris has a chance to win is to take KJP's place in the press conference once a week during the campaign. Without another debate to do better, Harris needs to stomp out her avoidance of unscripted hardball questions into the dust assuming she can handle it.
