A new month means there’s a veritable bounty of fresh content on Netflix. Both seasons of AMC’s underappreciated gem can-f-himself/”>Kevin Can F**k Himself are now on the streamer, Adam Sandler’s fun new standup comedy special recently made its Netflix debut, and I’m personally excited to watch the Rachel Sennott-led dramedy I Used to Be Funny and rewatch Starz’s exceptional small-town wrestling drama Heels (September 15).

But you can’t have a slew of arrivals without a few exits.

Unfortunately, Gina Rodriguez’s beloved romantic dramedy Jane the Virgin is leaving Netflix. The charming telenovela originally debuted in 2014 on The CW, producing five seasons and a Golden Globe win for Rodriguez’s dazzling performance as Jane. When exactly is this fan-favorite series exiting the streamer? Here’s everything you need to know.

Is Jane The Virgin Leaving Netflix?

Yep. Jane the Virgin is leaving Netflix on Friday, September 6.

Why Is Jane The Virgin Leaving Netflix?

As will-the-cw-shows-leave-netflix/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>What’s on Netflix reports, back in 2019, Netflix and The CW didn’t renew their streaming contract. In the previous deal, Netflix obtained streaming rights for five years after the streaming giant obtained the final seasons of various CW shows.

Netflix added the final season of Jane the Virgin in August 2019, so, unfortunately, the series will be exiting the platform.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and iZombie will also leave Netflix on September 6.

Is Jane The Virgin On Hulu?

Nope. Sadly, Jane the Virgin isn’t streaming on Hulu.
