Former Roma man Radja Nainggolan weighed in on Paulo Dybala’s shocking decision to stay at Roma after initially accepting Al Qadsiah’s offer.

the ex-Giallorossi midfielder was recently interviewed by Teleradiostereo.

“Dybala? I’m happy because he is a difference-maker. As a fan I am happy, like all Roma fans. There are no real big names in Italian football anymore, having one in Rome is a great pride.”

“It is easy to say that he rejected everything, but we don’t know the dynamics. Maybe the offer was accepted at first. We need to see the reality of the facts. I too had moments when I could have gone to China, but I chose to stay in Rome to play the Champions League.”

“People’s affection does a lot, there aren’t many places that give you this kind of feeling. I think Dybala felt this affection, the madness that happened in Trigoria. These are things that motivate you.”

“De Rossi? He showed that he cares about Roma by going there last year for nothing. The fact that he doesn’t want Dybala is just talk. De Rossi respects everyone, but he wants to do well andwill not please everyone so it’s only natural that some rumors get thrown out there.”

“The Roma player I like the most? El Shaarawy. He’s a great player, very intelligent who can dribble past anyone.”

“Bove? I like him because he has a little bit of everything. He doesn’t excel in any particular quality, but he is a complete player. He works hard in the defensive and offensive phases.”

“I think De Rossi also likes him, but with Pellegrini, Cristante and Paredes it’s normal that he isn’t a starter. He can follow a similar path to Pellegrini, who didn’t play when he was with us and today he is captain.”

“Pellegrini? Last year with De Rossi he was reborn, his characteristics came out. But before De Rossi he stuck a little. It’s important for the team, but he must feel the trust of the manager.”
